"I started keeping hudhud the way my grandmother kept her garden journal. It feels like an heirloom, not an app."

Is hudhud really free?

Yes. Free to open, free to use, no ads, no upsells. We may add an optional Patron tier later for power users with multiple feeders or shared journals — but the core app stays free forever.

Do I need an account?

You sign in with just your email — no password, no form to fill. Your journal is tied to your account so it's always there when you return.

How does species identification work?

You pick from a curated list of common backyard birds, with regional defaults based on your location. Photo-based ID is on our roadmap for late 2026.

What happens to my data?

It stays on your device. We don't sell it, share it, or analyze it. Backups (when you opt in) are end-to-end encrypted. You can export everything as a markdown journal at any time.

Will it work for hummingbird feeders, suet, etc.?

Yes. hudhud tracks six food types out of the box: seed mix, suet, fruit, nectar, mealworm, and fresh water. You can add custom foods if you feed something different.

· READY WHEN YOU ARE
